★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My review is 2years late but I will never forget how wonderful this place was. We had been on a long drive down to Wellington from Auckland to attend a funeral and had arrive at 4am in the morning the funeral was at 10am. There was no other place open that would take our booking that early even when we were willing to pay extra they would not allow us to enter our room early until I tried U Boutique Hotel. They were so welcoming and UNDERSTANDING over the phone and quickly set us up for that morning. Our room was nice and warm and the faciality was nice and clean the staff was so helpful, kind and so respectful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a warm and friendly place to stay and we would definitely be booking with you guys again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is far and away the most excellent value for money place I’ve stayed in.
I booked it right at the last minute when my original hosts came down with tummy bugs.
The hotel is super clean!
It is very nicely styled.
The staff are genuinely warm and kind.
I think all the rooms have shared bathrooms (which are clean and stylish).
Sadly there is pile driving and building nearby which supposedly ends in July 2021. Fortunately this wasn’t the case when I was there, but forewarned is forearmed.
I slept like a log.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breakfast paid for but not told until arrival that would have to be eaten in room as dining room closed for refurb. Provided with tray of cereal/bread etc but not provided with fresh crockery/cutlery daily - expected to rinse in bathroom sink and re-use. Ran out of coffee and no one on site to refresh. Limited breakfast - not what was paid for. Disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was a great wee room until I realised you can hear all the movements of the guests upstairs. Comfy bed etc. The noise from upstairs guests is amplified. Second night, the guests were really noisy & I couldn't sleep even with the ear plugs (provided). The manager found me a lovely quiet wee room to sleep but with a shared bathroom. Not the greatest to have to leave in my pjs & a few things just to be able to sleep. Great location & facilities. Just don't get the downstairs rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our stay with U Boutique Hotel in June 2022. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. The highlights are: PJ is a great host and very flexible to your needs! The apartment is central, very stylish (high ceilings) and clean. The sheets are good quality. There is good WIFI, entertainment and we appreciated the tips on where to eat.

Awesome Room. PET FRIENDLY I loved how they left a treat for my dog when we arrived.
10/10 this would be my preferred place to stay in Wellington.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in the king room with the hot tub. Worth every penny. The manager, PJ I think? Welcomed us and left a personalized note in the room. Clean, comfy bed, great hot tub and a fan in the room (great on a hot Wellington summer night!) will definitely stay again.
