★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked 1 bedroom apartment which says it sleeps 3. We arrived and there was no bed/sleeper couch for our daughter. We asked reception and they told us you have to prebook an extra bed @ $40 per night. Off to warehouse and bought $9 airbed. Saved ourselves $150. In the 20 years I have been booking accommodation I have never had to ask for an additional bed after booking for the required number of people. Then we go out for the day and come back to our room which has been left open by the cleaners and the one sheet was missing off the bed. I told reception and they just smiled and said ok. Its the worst service we have ever had. Only thing good is the rooms are clean and modern.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is located on Taranaki Street which is very close to the most of the attractions like Te Papa museum. The rooms are quite new with decent kitchen. The AC is a bit of issue. Good for a short stay. The TV has Sky connection and one can watch movies, sports etc. There are a limited park places which one has to book in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well appointed recently updated I think, unusual shaped room with couple steps that could be hazardous to older people, quite small but was a studio room. Nice and easy to stroll into town and waterfront. The best was the lovely friendly receptionist!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall is good, however i consistently faced AC problems.
I total stayed 5 weeks.
First week stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, it is awesome.
Second week to fourth week stayed in a single bedroom unit at 2nd floor. I faced way too many time that AC break down. Either not functioning, too cold, or too hot. It is torturing.
5th week i request change room, then all is well.
It is good place to stay but the technical problem is BIG problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Liberty had two front of the house staff that were very friendly and helpful. The rest of the time we were there, the front desk staff wouldn't acknowledge you when you came in. When dealing with them they seemed very un energetic in their jobs. We had a big problem on the Friday night stay, as there were very loud and drunk people slamming doors and shouting. This carried on until 2:30am. When calling the liberty office, nobody was working and there is no option to speak to anyone else. The people that clean the rooms don't really clean, they just wipe the kitchenette down. I booked a car spot and couldn't use it as another vehicle parked on both parkings. Luckily there was a staff bay available or I wouldn't have had anywhere to park.
Its not a bad hotel, I would definitely look else where with the price they charge and what they actually offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room was very clean, the bed very spacious and comfortable but the noise of the fans was like being in an aircraft. It wasn't the air conditioning because i turned it off and when that didn't work the night porter even showed me how to turn it off at the meter but nothing worked. Take ear plugs

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room was very modern and spotless. The shower worked well. The bed extremely comfortable, and although we were facing the road and heard a lot of traffic in the day it was not a problem throughout the night. Tea and coffee in room although we didn't use. Excellent location 2 minutes to Courtenay Place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ GOOD: Loved the contemporary design. Everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom was wonderfully spacious. They offered tea and coffee, had an oven and washer/dryer, big fridge/freezer and microwave. We were able to make our own dinners and breakfasts, which helped keep costs down. Bed was comfortable. Great location. The staff were wonderfully accommodating and gave the best customer service. There is also free WiFi. Very good value for the price.
NOT GOOD: I could hear EVERYTHING. I could hear the upstairs guests walking/banging around at 3am, and being woken up at 5:30am by gurgling water pipes and flushing toilets meant the quality of my stay was diminished. Some guests didn't respect the 'quiet after 9pm' rule so I could hear them talking/clomping in the hallway late at night. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're a light sleeper.
Also, they supply body wash but there was no shampoo or conditioner. If I'd known in advance, I would have bought my own.
