★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I havent been there since this hut changed ownership to Southern Lakes NZDA.
But a good hut to stay in. I cant see why this has changed ownership actually as it was an essential link in the Caples valley walk. The time now from Mid Caples to McKellar is now 6-7 hours (to long).I guess it is a win for Southern Lakes NZDA to have scored this hut mind you.
