Awesome spot on the lake away from the madness of Queenstown. Great wilderness retreat. Start and ended our Routeburn and Greenstone tramping expedition with shuttle transfer provided to make an easy trip. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

An incredible spot! We loved the views, the food was tasty and great service picking us up and dropping us for our walk. Next time will be back just to stay at the lodge!

Toni and John were perfect hosts! It was an incredible stay, in a stunning location. We had such a lovely time in the ecoscape and the food was great. A trip out to kinloch is a must, we came back very relaxed!

We stayed with KInloch over the weekend. We really needed a night away to simply relax. We stayed in one of the eco cabins. It was so impressive, simple use of modern tech was a really lovely touch. The spa was a bonus. Love these guys, great food, great hosts, great home feeling. We will go back as soon as possible.

A hidden gem. Wow! I worked remotely (WiFi included) at kinloch for a week in January (the WiFi was good enough for work calls!) and I can't recommend it enough. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking with mountains all around. I enjoyed morning dips in the lake and jacuzzi dips in the evening. The space has shared kitchen and lounge with lots of fridge space. The owners and two resident dogs are delightful and made me feel very welcomed. Make sure you try breakfast and dinner since the home cooked food there is really excellent with locally sourced ingredients. I also enjoyed yoga and meditation in the yurt with brilliant lessons given by a trained yoga teacher staff member. Down the road about 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk towards greenstone there is an amazing swim and fire spot (photos show this). there are also great day walks nearby. It's a perfect base for routeburn and greenstone. I am so grateful to have found this spot. It was the highlight of my trip around the south Island. Thank you so much for having me and I will be back to work remotely at some point!

What an incredible place to disconnect from the daily stress and connect with yourself. Immerse at the top of Lake Wakatipu, by the delta of Dart River, exists this lodge that has it all. Runned by a Wonder Woman (sorry for not remember your name) super nice and multitasker, this beautiful lodge is a place to visit whenever you are on Glenorchy area. Not far at all, just after a scenic 20min drive on gravel road (9km) passing Glenorchy Cafe. The facilities are very well maintained, they have comfortable beds, warm duvets and even hot tub included in your stay. Then by 8-10am a delicious breakfast made with fresh greens from the garden and daily picked eggs, delicious coffee, and the view, what a view, you just don't want to leave ever. Lured by the song of countless birds you just want to keep exploring. There are so many beautiful hiking trails for all levels around the area and host is so nice she can take you to the beginning of your track if you need to. Definitely a place to visit. I'll be back soon. Also, there is a wonderful dog called Gilbert that will adopt you as it's human for a day.

The owner was very friendly, helpful and kind enough even took down our clothes hanging on washing lines when it started raining. Really appreciate that. The rooms are small but it's backpack style so this is not surprising. Very clean facilities - big kitchens. Love the dinning tables! What a great way to decorate dinning tables - with all these cool maps. Would like to have one of tgese at home! We were lucky enough to see hundreds of tiny frogs came to dry land due to the big rain. Definitely going back when visiting the region. Thank you! ❀️

Best venison meal we have had in New Zealand, even better than two years ago! Wonderful service from Toni. Well worth the lovely drive from Queenstown. A gorgeous spot to enjoy a drink before dinner. The interior of the restaurant is Old World charm. Thank you to the team for a lovely evening. From Katinka
