★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Couldn't find this place for trying. Goggle map Directions said Maxwell line, but where? Even went back to dittmer drive over the new bridge. Couldn't find any signs to say how to get there. A passerby sent us back to Maxwells line but once we arrived some else said entry was back where we came from. Very frustrating and disappointing. Short of swimming across the river we decided to go home after walking around for over an hour. Thumbs down from us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this by not following google maps ehichbwants youbto swim across the river. Cross over the new foot bridge and follow the track 5ish kms the travk will change from concrete to limestone follow the limestone staying along the rivers edge... the kids loved feeding the eels... will defjnitely be another trip these holidays

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great conservation effort, its a beautiful place to visit at dusk. The glowing art work at the entrance is beautiful. Make sure to carry some washed left over chicken to attract the tuna (Eels).

Nice relaxed walk to.the bridge, and then watching the eels..
I got to see 4 eels.
If it's been raining heavily then its too murky to see them.
I got every day and are eels about 70% of the time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing spot to see some of our native fauna up close. Bring some meat (we had a chicken frame left over from a roast) and you'll attract some tuna from downstream within minutes! Fascinating to see.
Well equipped with a place to lock up your bikes and secure your dogs if you have them with you.
