β β β β β Stayed for one night in August 2018. Fell asleep early and got woken up by the owner requesting $20 for the night. She kept asking if I know that itβs not a free campsite which I obviously knew since I had the cash ready for the donation box that is supposed to be the way to pay for the stay.
I find it really odd that a person would wake me up while I was sleeping and get into my cabin when it was pitch dark and request to pay $20 for the night when it said nowhere that the stay was that much.

β β β β β Tania the owner is very welcoming. The common areas are cosy with a wild beach vibe. Nice place to stay very close to 90 mile beach (just meters away)

β β β β β Illegal campsite! They have no permit and hygiene and water quality are not checked.
They want people to pay cash for a reason, no booking it... There's a legal green campsite just a few meters further up the path.

β β β β β Lovely family run campground by ninety mile beach. Cheap, quiet and private. The couple let us all use their indoor shower, heaven! Lots of nice people to chat to in the communal kitchen. Definitely worth the drive, head all the way to the beach end of the lane you won't regret it!

β β β β β Amazing hospitality, Paul and Tania made us feel very welcome straight away. Great facilities too - big kitchen, fire area and free hot showers, all right on the beach! Planned to stay for one night but ended up staying for three, they call this the Utea Effect β₯ would 100% recommend any traveller to stay here

β β β β β Really nice place to stay, friendly owner and peaceful place. Ammenities were good ?I didnt have to check in or give any details which I thought was odd. Plus it was cash only... was a fair price too... nevertheless lovely area!!

β β β β β Wicked friendly owners, Tania and Paul, whanau friendly environment and right on the beach for surfing or fishing.
Hot showers, kitchen and some power to charge your phone.
All for $10 per person per night.
Cabins also available.
