★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great venue. If you like loud raw metal and punk music this is the place to go. Tiny (100 people would pack it out). Loud PA. Great beer. Has an area out back where lots of people congregate. Looks rough but really isn't. No green room. Back line Marshall (for guitar) and Ampeg (for bass) supplied for bands. Good lighting rig. Had good digital desk until recently but spillage through desk means an analog desk is there right now. Fold backs are above your head and there is a giant railway sleeper separating the band and audience. Stage is only a couple of feet higher than the audience. The atmosphere for loud bands is great and Ben is an awesome bar manager. Friendly hard rocking bar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wellington's premier venue for heavy rock and metal music. They host regular live gigs from up and coming local bands in a well set-up but smallish setting, although this gives the crowd a more personal experience. Interesting selection of drinks at the bar.
