★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The falls were really close to the carpark that we were in. You could see it from the start of the walk. There were a few people there but most of them just had a quick dip and then left since the water was a bit cold.
The area around the falls wasn't very big but it did extent all the way around most of the pool. It was also a bit of fun walking downstream and jumping along the rocks. We saw a few eels swimming around the river and pool which was nice.
The entrance was on 309 Road past Waterworks coming from Coromandel. Just keep an eye out for the entrance sign which might be covered by parked cars around the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want a short cut from one side to the others on Coromandel peninsula you can use this tiny road and in the middle you will see this amazing place. During the summer is a good spot to swim or jumping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The road is unsealed and quite dusty during sunny days. The fall is not very high and there is not many spaces to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Short 5 minute walk from car park to this waterfall its great for swimming. The 309 road is gravel and windy. The car gets dirty thats for sure.

I always stop when going past this waterfall on the 309 road.
It is literally roadside and the track is less then 1 minute to walk.
Waterfalls are awesome places to unwind and get back to nature.
Check it out next time you are in the coromandel

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I traveled from Thames on sh25 then turning onto 309 road, the last 8kms to Waiau falls is gravel, there's 2 car parks, one is next to sign and entrance other is just up near the bridge. Is a very easy walk to waterfall where you can have a swim
