★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really awesome museum with lots of interesting exhibits about the local mining and manufacturing industries. Fascinating gem collection and neat exhibit about moving the Cornish pump house. Icing on the cake was $5 per adult entry, amazing value for money and friendly staff!

It provided information about Waihi gold mining industry, about the life hood of gold mining and gold mining process. There is a display showing the underground tunnels of the gold mine.
