★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was such a lovely place to stay, really nice to sit on the deck in the evening after your bike ride. Very good breakfast supplied as well, we really enjoyed the honey. Would certainly visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our stops during the Otago Rail Trail. Cute little cabins, comfy beds and the host was lovely. She brought us some lovely homemade hot cross buns warm from the oven and some butter. We all sat on the grass and enjoyed a glass of wine out in the sun. The kids enjoyed feeding the sheep over the fence :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely rural cottages. Jen is an excellent host. The fresh flowers, delicious homemade babana bread and breakfast all add to a nice country feel. Only a short walk to delicious meals at Waipiata Hotel. All a must if you are cycling the Otago rail trail ♡

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jen is a superb hostess, and is vivacious, outgoing and passionate about where she lives and the people around her. Although she hasn't lived in the district for long she already knows everyone and has a great knowledge of the area and gives excellent commentary as she drives you to your accommodation.
We were riding the Otago Rail Trail and found the Waipiata Motel a great place to spend the night. It is a Lockwood building so there are some of the associated creaks and groans that come with them, but the units are well appointed and very comfortable - and Jen treats every customer like they're stars.
I'd make it a two-night stay if we ride the Trail again to explore the region from this great location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, developed and maintained with love. From the comfy chairs on the veranda, lovely rooms, salubrious bathrooms, well provisioned brekkie in old school milk bottles, butter and even avocados for avo on toast, books and toys left out for the kids, Jenn really has gone the extra mile for this place. Just awesome!
