β β β β β During consultations/appointments, we are asked what we think our outcomes of the appointment should be, and the problems we want to raise. This might be because everyone has an allocated time slot that should be followed β certainly understandable.
However, after explaining what the problem/issue is, I am always asked the following questions:
-What medication do you think you need?
-What medication do you want?
-Is this medication fine?
-What do you think we should do?
Donβt get me wrong. Asking questions can never be bad. Food for thought is merely an attempt to better understand the causes and solutions of problems.
However, as a patient who has little knowledge on medications, and has not got a βBachelor of Medicineβ Qualification, I do not think its suitable to pawn such questions onto a patient, and use up ~90% of the consultation time.
Doctor. I trust your expertise, knowledge and am visiting you in hope to be given an insight on your thoughts, expert judgment and diagnosis. Admittedly, this threw me off overtime, as I had more consultations and appointments.
Secondly, money seems to be one of, if not the biggest intentions for this clinic. While they might show care, consideration and empathy to other patients, I seldom felt this during my visits to the clinic.
Lastly, every doctor has curated their own method of how they wish to conduct an appointment with their patient. What makes my experience unpleasant, might make yours pleasant, and vice versa. Fundamentally, the lack of empathy, compassion and care led me to think my problems are disregarded and hence some of the many reasons Iβve decided to move to another more trusting, and caring clinic.
Iβve helped Waitakere-i-medical grow by spreading positive feedback through one of the most effective advertising methods β word of mouth. Unfortunately, my friends have experienced the same negative experience. As a result, we have all sought to move to other clinics now , to receive quality healthcare.
If you are still reading, I do not wish to βthrow you offβ from enrolling into this clinic. If anything, I hope you have a more pleasant experience than me and that your problems are remediated and taken care of more effectively than mine were.
I wish the clinic well, and am in hope that they seek to work on areas of improvement which are identified over time.
Kia Kaha.

β β β β β Very bad experience. Dr. Albert Low referred me to a specialist but it had to be designated by him. Because the specialist is full appointment. So I have to change one.Dr.Albert Low left me to choose another specialist. Then I chose another specialist. But Dr. Albert charged me $20. I don't know why. I called to ask them. The reception very rudely refused to explain. I think it had to be a specialist of his choosing.

β β β β β This place is terrible. My wife had come there and seeking help for different sickness (women issues) which is very low and pressured immunity at the moment. THey done COVID19 booster on her without her own permission and willing . And now my wife is very fukin bad situation because of this. She is still cant get up from the bed in three days. She didnt said she dont want booster at all she just want it after when she feeling better and they refused and told her almost she dont have a choice. She already had two doses before she dont have a problem with vaccination. I dont understand why you did vaccination on person that very low immunisation even she said I dont want it now!!!!!!! β β β β β Terrible service. Walked in at 3pm after being referred from the pharmacy upstairs for a COVID19 vaccination - they refused to give us a vaccination saying that they would not open a batch of 6 just for 2 people. The nurse was incredibly rude and I felt she was discriminating towards my partner and I. To say the government is trying to push vaccinations on everybody and has more than enough to vaccinate New Zealand 3 times over, I feel it would not matter if they ended up wasting a measly 4 vaccinations. The nurse and reception lady do not know how to talk to customers and I will never use this medical centre again. Your staff are very rude and unwelcoming.

β β β β β Excellent service - Dr Low is very kind and knowledgeable. Very attentive to patients. Front desk staff and nurse also very helpful and informative. I went for my Covid booster shot and the nurse administering it was very good. She was fast but gave me no pain.
Fees very reasonable - Dr Low took his time to explain health conditions clearly and he also answer all questions patiently. He is genuinely helpful. Definitely value for money for any consultations with Dr Low.
Would recommend this medical centre. So happy that we have such good professionals in our community, including their accupunturist who is always so friendly. I would give them 10* if possible.
