★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Jan 2021 they came late and packed their van and decided they were not going to move us. The guys in the van did carefully unpack our things and put it back in the storage unit.
Wellington Movers let us down on the moving day. Thankfully Stronghold Inc moved heaven and earth and moved exactly the same load without issue, at no additional cost the next day.
I think you either get great service or terrible service from Wellington Movers. For us it was a distressing day - no charge except emotional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely avoid these movers at all costs.
This was unequivocally the worst, most stressful move of my life. Five hours late, unfit and hugely incompetent movers, broken items, and the move was not completed on the day, meaning we had to hire ANOTHER company (who were excellent) to move our stuff the next day (as Wellington Movers don't work Sundays) and stay in hotel overnight.
We ended up taking the owner to the Disputes Tribunal, but not before we approached them privately to state our concerns and ask for compensation. The owner was aggressive, got his lawyer involved and threatened to report my partner to the Law Society. A total bully.
The Tribunal found in our favour, and not even then did we get an apology, although we did recover some of our costs through this avenue.
Never, ever, again.
Update: I have added the findings of the Tribunal below, to disprove every single point made in the response.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We attempted to use this company. They did not show up, nor did they call to let us know they were no longer coming. Their "generous" offer when we found this out was to offer to waive their callout fee and move us the next day instead.
This was said to a pair of flatters who had spent the weekend packing down the flat, and were standing ready and waiting with a lead car to get to the new house.
I'd rate 0 if I could. I recommend caution if you ever hire this company and call them every. single. hour. from the moment you book them until they arrive, and get everything they offer in writing. I'm just glad we didn't put any kind of deposit down for this unprofessional and unkind treatment.
Biggest criticism is the lack-of-contact. If we'd have known even 3 hours earlier that they weren't coming, we could have made better plans. Finding out half an hour after they were meant to start that we'd not even been thought of did not inspire any faith in this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can’t comment on their moving service. But can comment on employees unprofessional behaviour and dangerous driving. My partner had the finger pulled at him multiple times, was yelled at and an object thrown at his car, while driving through Johnsonville. He has no idea what he did to deserve such abuse. Won’t be using this company next time we move.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite looking at the reviews we decided to give these guys a chance coz we were on a budget and absolutely enjoyed moving with the knowledge that the staff are responsive, quite fast, careful and actionable when I had last minute plans, they are quick on there feet with suggestions and are good value for the price we pay. Excited for people to use this service. Well done

The communication beforehand was easy and they arrived on time with a positive and friendly attitude. Very nice and professional guys that do their job properly.
