About Wellington SCL
Wellington SCL is a modern diagnostic laboratory service offering a full range of community and hospital pathology services to the Wellington and Wairarapa regions. We operate 28 collection centres and 4 testing laboratories throughout the region. Wellington SCL was established on 1 November 2015, and is owned by APHG – New Zealand’s largest network of diagnostic laboratories.

As an medical laboratory we:
- collect and transport specimens
- test, analyse and report on them
- provide expert advice and consultation.
We employ around 400 staff in our laboratories in our collection centres through the greater Wellington and Wairarapa regions.
Everyday about 5000 patient samples get registered in our laboratory and we undertake about 17,000 pathology tests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The handling staff, Rona was very efficient and friendly. She took the blood sample with such skilled hands and expertise and listened patiently to my complaint of the difficulty of finding this place.
You need to add information on the google map where the clinic is located. I was directed to Grey Street, Featherston Street only to find out that the clinic is just across the MFat. Please name the location in google maps mentioning the proximity of a clearly signed and visible Lambton Quay landmark (McDonald, LuluLemon, Starbuck etc etc.). That will help a lot. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been in here a few times and the service is always great, really calm and professional. The wait times vary, but the staff are efficient and the waiting area is comfortable. I don’t know what more you could want from a place like this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very efficient! I’ve had my blood tests collected here a number of times and it’s always been a quick and painless affair. Test results are usually back next day or sometimes same day. Anyone complaining about this place needs to remember that a. It’s free, b. Everyone there is doing their best to be a part of making you well, and c. If you’re feeling unwell, staying positive is better than being unnecessarily critical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you change your physical address, please update Google Business asap so people don't keep going to the wrong place, park their car there and then realise they have to go somewhere else for the blood test. It's not hard to update Google business, just a couple of days for Google to update. Please do it soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the service was good and was fast they proceeded to never pass on my results to my GP and specialists. It was and urgent test which needed to be done and after three weeks I reached out after my doctor said she had never received my results and I was appalled. I left two messages to enquire about my results, and was empathetic if it was lost and needed to do again but proceeded to never hear back. 5 weeks later I have gotten the test repeated and results back within a few days somewhere else. Extremely rude and useless I will not be returning.
