★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great lookout looking out over waihola way, lots of info on the history of the lime industry in the area, there are tables you can sit at and have a picnic, worth going off the main road and looking at, signs are easy to follow to get to the lookout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning view and interesting history. Turn off for the limestone quarry, then follow the metal road up the hill, it's well worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're interested in fossils and whales, it's an interesting place to make a stop. Nothing exciting, but some fossils of a whale skull and ribcage and some other small ones. In good condition, and worth a look. Has some interesting information about the limestone and phosphate quarrying in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting information of the area and to see the fossils. Unfortunately the information boards and displays are poorly maintained. The lookout however is great on a good day overlooking the Waihola area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whale Fossil Lookout is one hell of a lookout, a really nice spot tucked away up in the hills beside the Milburn Lime limeworks. Only a stone skip out of Milton, this was a treat to visit. Great place to stop for a family picnic or to stretch the legs.
