★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big black Maori lady is rude and arrogant. Shouldn't be working in tourism as she has zero people skills. Much like everything else in the bay, this place is an absolute rip off and outdated and untidy. Wouldn't stay here if you paid me!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!

View is excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location. Motel units could be a wee bit cleaner (not being picky but windows and mirrors were washed with dirty water leaving lots of dirty streaks) and a loose toilet seat that just needs tightening seems just lazy cleaning.
Overall a great stay looking past all that

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely campsite right on the beach front with an awesome view. Nicely grassed. Good hot showers. Beware!! .... the beachfront is a traffic thoroughfare...facinating. Make sure you clean up after yourself or there may be trouble!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The site sizes and proximity to the beach are second to none. The three star rating is due to the facilities and the need for an update in the kitchen and bathrooms. Whilst there is no charge for showers, if you're not in first thing and you wait till the evening you get a tepid shower, hot in the morning though. The kitchen has loads of fridges and freezers which was great, but the 2 burner hot rings x4 (I think) and the microwave(s) could definitely be improved. Covid 19 protocols are followed and there is ample sanitiser and antiseptic sprays to use.
Overall our Camping Experience was great and we enjoyed the location and staff who were friendly.
Very family friendly with safe swimming beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful spot for fishing and relaxing ..The cabin was well equipped great for a nights sleep ?.
Disappointed with the cooking facilities needs upgrading.
The hobs are none functioning as the little ovens need attention..The kitchen was very clean.
Bathroom toilet very clean as is the Laundry Ample.
One of our favourite places to stay..A++
