About Krishna Food -Manners St
From humble beginnings to hundreds of grumbling bellies.
Starting from the simple intention of reaching Victoria University’s hungry students, Krishna Food astonishingly enough used to be just a small outdoor table on campus serving our classic Krishna Plate.
Fast Forward over 15 years from our humble beginnings in 2005, we would have never guessed that we would have our own cafe on Kelburn Campus serving out hundreds of plates to hundreds of students daily. Having expanded our delicious menu, friendly staff, locations and deliveries, we now have the amazing opportunity to continue our goal of filling the grumbling bellies of Wellington with tasty affordable plant-based food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is nice, but the $7 Krishna Bowl box is only half-filled with rice and the curry. It is not filling. The box is a medium sized box and you cannot see how much quantity the person serving is filling it in with, so it gives the impression of having a sufficient quantity, but when you open the box you feel disappointed, as it is only half-filled and rest of the box is left empty. Do not believe the pictures on their website or the board outside the shop showing a full plate of food.

She advice to try the Plate from the menu. Best curry with a very tasty dessert. Value for money, blessed food and lot of love behind the front business.
Definitely recommended for a quick tasty , healthy lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So tasty! The lasange was to die for (best I've ever had). So was the samosa, and the snickers bar! Vegan and low FODMAP (no onion or garlic). Food court up the road to sit and enjoy. Recommend.
