★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried another branch before and wanted to give north shore one a try. Got a bit disappointed for tonight’s dinner. We ordered the medium level spicy but except for super spicy nothing else and the tomato soup base was lack of flavour as well and the orange colour looked quite artificial and also the plain soup base tasted like MSG mixed with water. Choices for dipping sauce were very limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best Sichuan style hotpot restaurants in Auckland I have ever tried! Highly recommend it to those who are craving spicy hotpot and fresh items indeed ! We ordered little spicy and it's enough for us haha. We enjoyed the beef strip and pig brain especially and they are really fresh! They accept wechat pay and alipay as well. Will come again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was great and the experience was very memorable on a cold winter night with friends and family! The interior is very well presented and as soon as you walk in the steam from the boiling pots greet you with an added aroma of all the nice ingredients. You can make your own sauce as well using some trays which was a fun thing in the side but some of the ingredients were either incorrectly labelled or had nothing on them all together. One BIG negative was that the QR digital menu was only in Chinese and the staff were too busy to explain everything do I am guessing the owners are only targetting a particular demographic... Fortunately we had Cantonese/Mandarin speaking friends with us so we didn't just guess! I saw MSG in the flesh for the first time which was interesting too (check out the pics). BTW the floors appear slippery because of all the condensation so make sure you wear something that's slip resistant. We had reservations and there was no waiting line anyway do we went straight to table. It started pretty civilized & clean as the table was spotless but it quickly looked like a war zone as hot pot is VERY messy so don't show up in white clothes ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AMAZING food! First time having hotpot and the staff could not have been friendlier helping us with the menu. Such a great range of choices for meat and a huge selection of food to choose from. Well priced and worth travelling for. We will definitely be coming back. DELICIOUS!
