Zatori - Zatori 2321 Takaka-Collingwood Highway

We had a really wonderful stay with many unexpected treats! We were greeted by Steve who greeted us by name and knew we were coming. Owner Tracey arrived shortly thereafter and we shared some lovely wine by the fire. The breakfast that Tracey made us the next morning was the best I’ve ever had and her coffee was amazing. After a day out at Wharariki we were treated to a sauna in the recently built room with a view! Bliss. We were there 2 nights in comfortable beds and I slept really well. I love visiting Golden Bay and am thrilled to have such special accommodation to count on! Thank you!

Haven't stayed here but over the summer months they sometimes open it up for dinner or an evening drink- excellent views, particularly in the evening as the light fades. Great calm atmosphere with cool decor and a dog that plays fetch (although then makes me fetch the ball) - may be best to call in advance and see if they are open to the public. Dinner is also delicious and has a very communal feel

I LOVE this place!! Everyone NEEDS to stay here at least once in there life. It's recently renovated so everything is comfy and new. The view is stunning and there are free kayaks and a paddle board to use. Tracy the host is very accommodating and even picked us up from Takaka. We will be back for sure

Zartoris is really special, a real home from home but so much more beautiful and elegant , Tracy manages a magical mix of calm elegance with realness and homeliness. I loved waking up in our gorgeous bedroom with the view of the sea and the sun rising . So good for body mind and soul! Thank you for a truly magical week end

Had a super relaxed stay at Zatori. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Was really impressed with what the owners have done here. It is useful to know there is different accommodation types, from shared spaces, to very private. So they cater to a wide range of options and it's worth discussing what you like in this regard. Instead of rolling in on a whim. The building has an amazing history and it's well worth asking about its various lives. The current owner has had a great vision for the area and made a great sustainable environment that is super pleasing and very comfortable. They have a very comfortable restaurant and outdoor area for breakfast and dinner. Although you are welcome to use any of it anytime to say chill out and read a good book. Paddle boards, kayaks, bicycles all no problem, and no charge to use for an explore. Food was simple in there is limited choices. However, was extremely clever, all grown on the property, fresh and super yummy. The eye fillet I had was perfect in all ways with amazing sides, my partner had fish it was melt in your mouth. The starter I had. Seafood chowder, was all from the bay infront of the property, with big chunks of fresh fish hand caught that morning. Herbs all fresh from the garden. It was just perfect. Orange cake was amazing. Fruit of the trees outside. No flour and just yummy plus. Wine, everything you could want, well priced. Breakfast was included in the options we picked, was perfect and service was excellent. All very personal. Room was super comfortable well appointed and coffee was perfect. Clean and tidy. Great place for weddings and functions. Lots to see and do in the area. You can get a massage after a long day of activity. You can get a helicopter on the lawn for transfers or tours. Great place to use as a heli base. Highly recommend for some quality time out. Thank you team for a very pleasant stay, looking forward to coming back soon. The photos I have attached don't do it justice. Was a wet day with weather system rolling through. However, was still magic to sit back and take it all in.

Wonderful stay - staff at the lodge went out of their way to make us feel welcome and give us a home away from home. Lovely food, charming rooms, bikes/kayaks on hand to use at your leisure, beautiful views, and just a terrific place to relax for the weekend or use as base for the many world class attractions in the area. Absolutely amazing place, had my sons wedding here, truely wonderful experience, Tracey and her team were so accommodating and helpful, the rooms are super comfy and spotless. Definitely recommend 100%
