β β β β β This is the place to stay if you're near or in Collinwood, for a motel this is situated perfectly, close to the sea with the back yard over looking the flow of the river and up into the valley in the direction of the Heaphy track. The rooms are well setup, with very good beds (always important I believe) and Amber the co-owner with her partner is very house proud, the rooms are spotless, daily serviced with pride. She proudly says its her staff that are so good but I have found that the staff are only as good as the owner and their requirements and encouragement, Amber has put her standards in place and it shows. Also she leads by example, a real grafter, hard working young lady, deserves all the support available, you won't be disappointed when you stay at this motel. We loved our stay and will be back for longer next time.

β β β β β The room was clean heating was poor we told them heat pump not work they said they sorted it went for tea come back room still cold as if heat pump w@ on timer even turned it up to 30 and my feet still cold

β β β β β Due to a delayed ferry trip, we didnt make it in the time we thought we would. The staff were helpful in making sure we could get into our room after reception hours.
The room was tidy, comfortable and had great kitchenette facilities. The milk in the fridge was especially awesome to find for a hot drink after a cold drive. Exceptional stay.

β β β β β Quiet little village, last shops heading westward. Couple of cafΓ©s, but closed Monday & Tuesday. Local store well stocked, and has postal facilities. Camping ground , motels, tavern are all right in the village.
