A	Austin Hickok on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff responsible for checked baggage were rude and unhelpful. I was forced to check in a 5kg backpack due to the straps on it. Even though she saw that it fit snugly into the example compartment, she didnt care. This carry on backpack made it through 3 packed flights before this one without any problems.

When I had to cancel a flight at short notice because of a major, unforeseen circumstance (once only in my flying lifetime) Air NZ refused to refund me a single cent, causing me to lose 100% of a 4-figure fare. Moreover they sounded cold, greedy and heartless over the phone. Contrast that with Qantas Airlines who did the exact opposite. Imagine that, a foreign airlines was more compassionate than a national carrier to its fellowman in need! Also Air NZ gave us so much hassles over hand luggage on the times we flew with them in stark contrast to Qantas (and other airlines) which offered us nothing but smooth sailing. There is simply NO comparison regarding service between these airlines. And then there's the huge issue of hefty fares compared to foreign airlines. If Air NZ drives their customers into the waiting seats of their competition they have only themselves to blame! While some folks will pay blind homage to anything "national" still more will vote with their feet and ... wallet (even though we think the graphics on your plane is truly outstanding!)

I spent 3 hours on the phone today as a "valued Koru member" and ended up backwards from where I started. I was given a refund on flights and could not collect that refund no matter how hard I tried. I ended up having to start from the start all over again......after 3 hours of trying hard to understand the people in the call centre..... Air New Zealand, the best that money can buy with the least money possible......you lost a customer and all of my clients. Walk on Mr Christopher Luxon, I hope you are better at politics than creating Air Line policy.....
J	Jccn Z on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After covid we fly the first time with so much excitement, but it was not the impress we got from the Wellington Air New Zealand ground service, we been out of touch for check in procedure and were struggling to put the tag on the bag, we were early and there was only few person check in, but the 3 ground staff were chatting among themselves, they don't even look and offer help, and when we asked for help, the stuff show annoyed. However, the service on board was good, the star toward the on board service.

H	Hayden Warren on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Six hours waiting in queue for the call center customer service over 2 days after Air New Zealand cancelled my flight. Their App won't let me apply for a refund or change to another flight and directs me to their call center. Never been in a call center queue at 7:30am being told that there's a 15 min wait for the next available agent, but by 9:30am, the wait time had increased to 1hour and 35 minutes! Soul destroying.
