Had a appointment to open a personal account, I told them my passport expired, the ANZ staff told me just need drive licence, IRD number and other bank statement and able to open a account, but when I arrived New Lynn branch the staff said I can’t open account because I don’t have valid passport, WHAT A JOKE . Totally wasted my time never deal with ANZ again

Worst branch I have ever been with, stood in line twice today for over an hour each time, not helped at all after money has been taken from my account, was laughed at by a Indian lady who works there and then proceeded to help someone that just walked in when there was 7+ people that have been in the line for an hour! Not happy at all with this branch on considering banking with another bank.

One of the staff is so rude. I came to the bank at 4:40 and they were closed. The staff came out and told me to leave and tell me not to stand under the camera. I just want to have a look at the working hours on the door but he just pushes me away.

Only 1 teller. Very slow queue. Waiting at leadt one hour. Definitely not good enough.

I agree with some reviews here. I am regular to the brand and most of staff are very professional and very helpful. Rest of the staff I think work its like a mom & pop store. for a bus area like New Lynn, I would have put in trained and skilled staff and maybe move the slow, unprofessional staff to a more outskirts, less busy area where they ll enjoy a less busier environment Since I can clearly see they don't like giving solutions to people. On my last visit the Asian Fella was very helpful but as soon as we got to counter the lady completely contradicted his advice, He jumped and ran to explain the situation to her but she didn't budge. I think Its only a couple who are giving the branch a bad name, and I always try and avoid them when going to this branch.

Absolutely useless staff . Went there yesterday morning, they were not busy at all and would refuse to help. They kept telling me to go online. ANZ, if I could do it online I wouldn’t visit the bank . Get ur bloody app sorted first. Sack the lot and recruit decent staff who know how to talk to customers.

Waited for an hour. Asked for service, they said sorry you have to wait for the cashier. She is the only one who can help you. 8 visible staff and this is the only one who can help you?! Waited while she took 40mins to serve one person, ages to serve the lady in front of us who had a very simple request. Security guard kept pushing queue forward to squeeze more people in the door.
