★ ★ ★ ★ ★ End of th public road, but no view. Perhaps as per Te Mata Peak in Hawkes Bay there is a viewing point up on th mountain somewhere which would b great for visitors n locals alike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very picturesque walk and nice to get away from the noise at the gondola. Take water with you as there is nothing up here at all, on a hot day, ensure cover of your skin is possible as it gets very very hot walking up here.
