★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very cool fun, we loved it. we under estimated the amount of rides and had to buy extra. the luge ride prices are ridiculously expensive , but u are a captive audience up there. we should have considered getting a yearly pass.

Luge is alot of fun travelling at your own speed and please be aware that if you take kids down the luge then when you come back up on the lift its only two per seat so please plan for the kids to be safe as under 7 years old will need a adult as the chair lifts only have a drop down bar for safety and it doesn't lock while traveling back up to the top and ti does get very high and sometimes can stop . little kids need an adult with them on this.
Otherwise its a good few hours fun for a good rate and the gondolier is free all day once you buy your ticket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow . What a cool place. Kids loved the luge and I saw plenty of adults and children of all ages enjoying it too! I had one of the best hot chocolates while I enjoyed the scenery and heater!! It was very busy with school holidays but things flowed and we were warned at the bottom. As it got later and colder, the lines got smaller! Definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rotorua Skyline is always a nice place to go while in the area. It is always busy and packed depending on what time of the day you go. There is something for everyone. I conquered part of my fear of heights in 2020 when I went on the sky swing and it is scary but well worth the adreline rush for sure. Did an overnight Sat to Sunday over the weekend just gone in Rotovegas and we took family from Samoa to Skyline and the cuzzies loved it and had so much fun. If you aren't in to the luge rides, zipline, bike trail or the sky swing you can opt to sit on the tables and chairs provided under the massive built in canopy type of thing that provides shade from the hot summer sun! You can enjoy a cold drink or an icecream from the shop nearby all within walking distance. The views from whereever you stand or sit from the top of the skyline area are also beautiful!

Scenic Luge Track
A two-kilometre scenic ride through Skyline's very own Redwood Forest with viewing bays at great locations for taking photographs, enjoy a leisurely trip whilst enjoying the panoramic views.
Fun for all ages - with full instruction and a steering/braking system allowing the rider full control - the Luge is fun for everyone!
Children between 80cm and 110cm can be carried in tandem.
Intermediate Luge Track
An exciting track to thrill the most experienced Luge rider.
1.7 kilometres in length featuring chicanes, a tunnel and awesome views over the city and Lake Rotorua.
Advanced Luge Track (Under FUNstruction)
For safety reasons we sometimes have to close the advanced track when it rains please check the status below before you head up.
Can a single Luge ticket be split over different days?
Luge rides on a single ticket cannot be split over different days.
Can I buy extra Luge rides onsite?
Yes, you can purchase extra Luge rides from the top of the Gondola.
Are there any height or age restrictions?
Riders who are between 80 - 110cm will need to ride in tandem with an adult, and only on the Scenic or Intermediate tracks. A young child can ride in tandem on the Luge with an adult over 150cm tall. The responsibility is with the adult to ride in a slow and safe manner, avoiding sharp braking to minimise the risk of injury to the infant. Riders who are between 110cm and 135cm can ride the Scenic and Intermediate tracks unaccompanied. Children that are 10 years old and over 135cm can ride the Advanced Track unaccompanied.
Can I purchase a Gondola or Luge photo after my visit to Skyline?
Due to the number of photos taken daily, we are unable to recover photos once you leave the complex. Photos must be purchased at the Luge or the base of the Gondola on the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kids loved the place. Beautiful views from the top which you can enjoy while having some food, drinks or ice cream. The Luge was also a hit with the whole family. And if you get too competitive and leave the young ones crashed by one of the corners, the staff got you and will bail them out ( might or might not be from personal experience)…
