★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apollo Motorhomes Christchurch are absolute legends. Jay was so awesome to deal with and made us very welcome and comfortable. Apollos 0800 staff were really good to deal with as well. Great communication, obliging and accommodating - faultless actually. Maybe Apollo could give Air NZ a crash course on how to treat their customers and how to communicate. We will definitely go Apollo again and highly recommend them to all. 10/10 guys!.

The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable for assistance in getting the most out of your campervan trip things like figuring out the toilet cassette, using the hot water and the electrical system. The van we rented was very clean and comfortable and the Mercedes Sprinter is an absolute dream to drive on the open road. An unforgettable holiday with memories you can't put a price on. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thoroughly enjoyed our Apollo Euro Tourer campervan as we toured the South Island of New Zealand. Fantastic large windows for admiring the beautiful landscape. Perfect for two people, bed was spacious and cooking area perfect for meals. Highly recommend.

Missed a lot of essential items.
No dishwashing liquid, bin liners supplied.
We ended up first stop at a supermarket to buy some essentials.
Was a nice trip, but I would not go for that company again.
Customer service bad, callcenter trying to help but not good either.
Next time I would spend the additional money and go with another company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We started our holiday with a very helpful staff member who got us sorted and on our way. The vehicle was very comfortable to drive and also live in. Most of the things we needed were supplied which was fantastic. The fridge was a large size than a lot of campers which was great. We are now keen to buy our own camper. Totally recommend Apollo for a good holiday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be aware of the conditions of the heater within the campervan. When we complained about the heater is not working, we were told that the heater only works for two hours. Also, the you cannot use the heater and heating up the water at the same time. We were told this is the case when we returned the campervan. I wounder why they cannot told me earlier when I called them earlier during the trip when the heater is not working. But, I have to said their call center staffs do have sesenses of humour. When I told her we are freedom camping and the heater is not working, she offer a solution thats outside the box. That's to offer electrical fan heater. Very funny.
You might want to consider other capmanies like MC rent, wilderness and Maui. I drove their campervan before and their heaters do work without that condition. Our group have 6 campervans. Only apollo has the issue.
I give appollo 1 star because they refund me 1 day of the rental fee. Not as credit, cause I won't use apollo again. Other capmanies are simply better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The team at Apollo in Christchurch made pickup and drop-off hassle-free, very informative and enjoyable. Such a light-hearted, friendly, and helpful crew, offering an experience which became the foundation of the most incredible 5-day trip between Christchurch and Queenstown in our Apollo Euro Tourer.
We also loved their integrated app 'ApolloConnect' that we could check into if we ever had any queries or issues along the way. The team explained everything so thoroughly before we left, so we didn't need to rely on it so much, but we could sleep easily at night knowing that if we forgot anything, it was all right there at our fingertips.
I have seen a lot of the South Island, but never so much as we squeezed into these 5 days on the road. We stopped at both landmarks and 'side-of-road' spots alike , creating our own special landmarks along the way that we wouldn't have otherwise discovered if we had flown in from Auckland and gone straight to a hotel in Queenstown or Christchurch - which I must admit, is what I usually do! We have discovered a new way to travel that I will struggle to beat and will definitely return to :)
The camper we had was a great size yet very mobile and easy to drive, self-contained, and incredibly luxe, which made roadtripping very comfortable.
What we loved most was we could stay in so many incredible places, not being limited to just one or two hotels. Our favourite camping spot was Champagne Gully Freedom Camping, where you can park right on the water’s edge of the Clutha River on Cromwell-Clyde Road.
This camper really became our home on wheels, we will definitely be using Apollo again. I'v never used a camper company in NZ that is so stress-free, high-quality and comfortable. Rest assured, you will be looked after.
