★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Save yourself the time and money DO NOT go to Applefix to get a screen replacement.They disabled my phone and now I cannot recover all of my data. I had a lot of valueable information on my iphone. They did not mention any risks before replacing my screen. Extremely dissapointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my macbook pro as it didnt turn on after I updated to new Mac OS. Apple fix charged me $50 for dagnosis, and they came back telling me issue is with faulty logic board and quoted me $450 for it and it will take 4 weeks for repair. I asked them what exactly was the problem but they havent given me any details..
me: so what's the problem with logic board? do you have change chips or fix the cable or what?
Apple fix: yes we fix logic board.
me: so how would you fix it?
apple fix: yes we will try to fix.. if we cannot fix, we dont charge you.
I didnt have enough confidence to get them to fix my computer, and I ended up taking my laptop back.
About a month later after board is opened to Auckland, I had chance to take my laptop to one of the shop in Parnell Auckland. Guess what happened. They said it was common error which can happen if we try to update mac os when you dont have enough storage room left and this can be fixed overnight with new mac os installation. No work was needed on logic board.
I know we dont have many options in hamilton, but seriously avoid this place if possible,
So what it tells me is Apple fix does not even know how to diagnose the problem

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mate had his screen replaced from them and they did a poor job , replaced the display and he’s still having issues with the screen that was faulty . And ended up with having more issues . Can’t believe such poor work ethics exist in our nz community

I wanted to get my usb cable tested to see if it was faulty but gentleman said it would cost $30 to test which was same price as a new one so I bought a new one. Gentleman them proceeded to tell me he would not take it back even if it was not faulty- i had not asked him if he would. I asked him about Consumer Guatantees Act which he told me only applied if goods were faulty.
He is correct in all that. But I didn't want to pay $30 unnecessarily. Further discussion with him was pointless, the feeling I got was he was only interested in making the sale.
Staff could do with training in friendlier and less combatative attitutudes to customer service.

Don't go there for a screen replacement, they'll scam you: went there for mine, the screen wasn't glued property, my phone went black less than a week after and they said it's my fault as I was using the phone so they refused me the warranty.
They don't want to admit that they did a bad job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to shop to get PS4 fixed, they sold me a 1TB hard drive for $220 (well over the price but needed it done) and instead installed a 500gb hard drive and completely denied saying that they sold me a 1TB hard drive at all.
Sketchy as.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my Samsung in due to a charging issue. Shop repaired it and charged handsomely for it. Didn't mind at the time. Same issue occurred within a month so took it back. Advised that there would be no charge and that under closer inspection there is a part that needs to be ordered in so it'll be next day or the Tuesday after the long weekend.
Advised on the Wednesday the courier company cancelled the delivery . Now it's gonna be 10 days as it's required to be shipped internationally. Customer service is pretty lousy. We'll see how this goes...Looking like the non-faked reviews are pretty spot on.
