β β β β β Don't answer the phone. Don't look at their faxes. They only respond when you ring the ASB 0800 No and say you can't get thru. Then they ring back fast. Even worse when you go there. Stand around waiting while staff members yak to each other about haircuts.

β β β β β The Chartwell ASB branch is by far our favourite branch in Hamilton! They always help when we need them with a friendly smile & in a timely manner. The personal bankers are also great, really helpful & supportive. We appreciate everything Asb have done for us in the past & in particular, the Chartwell team!

β β β β β The most useless bank ever. As a business they require any cash banking to be verified with identification, which is odd since one is a bank customer and they know who I am, and the business. So can't just drop the banking in a slot anymore, but no, one must stand in a queue with other non business customers and typically much time is wasted.If they had an express business queue that could could expedite quickl,y it would be tolerable. Would I recommend ASB to others, hell no!

β β β β β Went in to submit some documents in person as required by ASB, but received an email alerting me to submit the files a few weeks later. Turns out there was no file uploaded by them under my name at all.

β β β β β Unprofessional service, Unprofessional staff (Lauren Elder) and a lot more.
How would you feel when you approach a mobile phone shop and order an iPhone, and emphasize 3 times, that you need a device with some specific options, but when you go to pick the phone up you realize that you were giving was totally a different phone which is not what you wanted at all. You feel even worse when the seller (in my case a teller), tries to explain the specifications of the unwanted phone, instead of offering her apologies and trying to fix the problem?
Lauren said it was better to call them and book an appointment before approaching them in person as they were very busy. When I said I called twice but no one answered the phone, she she said they were too busy to answer the phone. (Do you see the irony here?). Not necessary to mention that how eager my son was to get his first ever eftpos card.
This is what happened to me yesterday at this ASB branch when I went to open up an account for my son. particularly with Lauren Elder the teller.
This has made me to think some ASB staff need some serious training to learn professionalism, patience, friendliness and problem solving, customer service attitude.

β β β β β I have no issue banking here except for the last few weeks as they are completely closed. There's a notice posted outside saying they will be closed during the Red Light setting (why??) Other ASB branches remain open.

β β β β β Customer service via phone for ASB is absolutely atrocious. Stuck on hold for more than 20 minutes to get told "I will put you through to the right person regarding your query" which puts me back to the robot with the same questions I answered at the start of the call. You make over $1billion dollars a year clean up your act ASB!

β β β β β Depending on who you get this branch is either good or bad. My son opened an account the week before and we were able to do it on the spot. I informed the teller I would be in next week with my daughter as she wanted to open an account too. There was no mention of, you need to make an appointment and did not offer to make one for us. We went in today and was told they could not help us and we would need to make an appointment. We went in specially to open the account. I think the service is so bad, I will be starting to move all my accounts to another bank.
