S	Sherilyn Tasker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed the pizzeria closed at 5pm it would have been awesome after a long day hiking. The room was nice but the mosquitoes were not. The dinner menu was disappointing considering the high end nature of the accomodation. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Also, was unclear the pizzeria and massage service was unavailable at time of booking and these are both massive draw cards for us.

From the moment we arrived we felt cared for, attended to and delighted by your team’s hospitality, kindness and personality. We appreciated the upgrade to a superior room which was magical. The food was out of this world and we would come back just for the fried Kumera :) Josh was fun to hang out with on the water and we enjoyed his calm guidance and encouragement. Ruby was an awesome hostess in the restaurant and went above and beyond to help us. The walks were stunning and with the change in the weather, each day felt like we were in a different place; one minute a tropical island and the next minute Jurassic Park. Awaroa Lodge is a new favourite and the memories we made there will last a lifetime. Thank you again and we will definitely be back soon.
K	Kate Woodruffe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awaroa Lodge is in the best possible location for anyone wanting to enjoy the Abel Tasman. Very clean and comfortable room and the most amazing staff made our stay really enjoyable - we would absolutely book a return visit! The guided sea kayaking is a must-do - absolutely amazing experience! We can also recommend the day-spa - we had an excellent post-hike massage. The food and beverage offering was good but not great - this is subjective - I would say we're fussier than average! We could tell that things are a bit tight with so few visitors due to travel restrictions - the silver lining being that the park and lodge were both quiet. I highly recommend booking a stay at this special place before our borders reopen.

Waiter got the order wrong, wait time was ridiculous, fish was 90% batter and chared. Salad leaves were wilted and soft. Not great. Very under average in my opinion.
S	Sarah Mickan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The good bit: Beautiful location The bad bits: * terrible food - not even edible * terrible service having complained about the terrible food * emailed prior to stay to book massages (which was one of the main reasons we went to stay), the process was unnecessarily lengthy to result in no booking availability. It's disappointing that on check out nobody cared about our stay to give this feedback, nor did anyone respond to an email detailing this. 5 months after staying, I am still in shock at how a member of staff spoke to me after returning a meal that tasted like it had 1kg of salt on it. There was a sever lack of leadership, and whilst (some) staff tried to be pleasant it was hard not to notice how tired they all seemed.
