★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi everyone! As a new parent always do your research before buying or hiring anything. Or just take my advice.
If you look at the prices on the website for hiring a baby capsule, you see that you can hire a new one "from $100" and a used one "from $50". You might think that if you pay $125 as quoted to hire a capsule for 6 month you get a new one. Which is wrong. For that price you get a quite beaten up old capsule. But you are not told about that until you come to install it just before the due date.
And then you either pay that price and take it or urgently try to arrange a different one.
However, I just don't understand why would anyone pay $125 to hire a used capsule instead of buying a new one for $150 from one of the larger retailers when it's on sale? When you are expecting, it's quite a long process which takes 9 months, and during that time at least several "50% off everything" promotions can happen.
That applies to all large purchases you need to make, if you want to get things new. Use priceme to set an alert for an item you want and wait until it goes on sale. Or just get used ones for half price!
Long story short, I've cancelled my capsule hire and got a refund from the shop and then bought exactly the same model and even colour of Trademe for less than the hiring price in a very good condition, which is still on warranty. I've paid less and the main difference is I own it now, so I don't have to worry about scratching it or anything.

The staff member who helped me went above and beyond and I could not recommend them enough. Thank you to the lovely lady who helped me (I'm so sorry I forgot your name, I'm sleep deprived!). You were so kind to me, and helpful with products and I will definitely be back to see you guys again.

She was really informative and genuine.
