★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here for dinner tonight to try something different. Husband and boys loved their burgers and I loved my loaded fries. Any issue we had was fixed instantly without question. Great customer service, great food. I only give it a 4 star because we weren't able to get desserts because their ice cream machine was down. (my favourite part of a meal is dessert haha).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wasn’t quite the enjoyable night we expected from a 50s themed restaurant, like the ones in Kaikoura, Oxford and Christchurch.
It was overly busy, and we waited a long time, but this can be expected around public holidays.
The milkshakes were very foul tasting, my one tasted like ice cream mixed with water, and the other tasted of dishwashing liquid.
I couldn’t eat my burger easily, the beetroot juices were everywhere and it wasn’t enjoyable. I wish we’d be offered cutlery to try eat it that way. It tasted okay.
The philly cheese tasted nice, but we’d been upgraded to a combo, without being asked, and didn’t find out until the fries arrived for it, after we separately ordered fries.
This just annoyed me a little, as it’s throwing money down the drain, as we couldn’t eat it all. The vibe was nice I guess, there aren’t a lot of positives in my experience, but I can see how it could be better on another day.
Left the restaurant feeling like I wished I never went in and got some burgers from the fish n chip shop for half the price and half the headache. I won’t be going back, but I hope it was just an off night for the business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was so disappointed with our meal, as soon as I walked into the place I just had bad vibes (the guy seemed like he didn’t want us there from his body language and tone of voice) should have listened to my inner voice. The buns not fresh, crusty and stale, the patties not even cooked properly, the guy never brought out our thick shakes and because the burgers were not flash we left as was so upset and sick to the stomach for paying so much money for cold unfresh food. It gets a one star because the fries were the only thing hot. Sorry for the bad review but I hope you put more love into your food/business for other customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was looking forward to hitting this place up again after a few years since the first visit. Was good but doesn't quite get some things right. Firstly, a Philly cheese steak has never and should never have slaw or any other type of salad in it. Steak, cheese, onion and maybe mushroom as an option. Then there is the still no malted shakes only normal milkshake flavours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's hard to find truly good burgers around NZ and the burgers here we're right up there.
Apart from a slight under-salting and the fact that they were dripping with juices, these burgers were top notch.
Great realistic meat patty without any fillers, burger buns were also really good quality (another challenge for a good burger).
Will be visiting again!!

That's about the highlights sadly.
We got 3 burgers and fries.
Firstly, the burgers are huge! Unfortunately all 3 burgers buns were past freshness, wife had to chuck hers out and make it a salad, and Not much sauce to speak of. Flavours just not quite there for us.
Fries were nice.
Purchased on a Thursday, a shame as we looked forward to this one.
Maybe an off night ?♂️
