★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A unique craft-brew experience with excellent brews. Open by appointment but we arrived out the front and rang to see if we could come in. Norm was home and welcomed us in. Learnt about the brewing process and then got to taste some brews. Loved the cider, very smooth, dry and easy to drink, not sweet and gassy like commercial ciders. Also tried a few delicious beers which I enjoyed and took a selection home. A lot of the catlins cafes sell the range if the brewery is not open.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very informative owner. Norm welcomed us into his brewery which he'd built from scratch. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. His beers and cider all had great tastes to them. Smoother and much easier on the palette than your more commercial brands. Worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a terrific discovery this place was. Norm the brewer is friendly as you could imagine, great sense of humour and passion for his beer (and cider). Easy to find, hard to leave. The new Amy Bock beer was a highlight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little brewery which should be a must-do visit when passing through Kaka Point. Norm the owner is a super friendly and passionate guy who knows his stuff! Stoked to see scrumpy ciders on offer. I tried 5 different types with my favourite being the Manuka Honey Cider – I made sure to leave with some freshly bottled drinks to enjoy the next day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Currently working out of his basement, Norman's committed to making great beer - super friendly to chat to. Great 'cellar door' tasting and experience. Highly recommend giving his beer a nudge if you're lucky enough to be in a place stocking it.
