This practice seems to fail in attracting and retaining Doctors. Doctors staff seems to change regularly, currently one of which even lives on a different island. The admin and nurses are great but the doctors seem to be lacking. I requested a repeat prescription and the Doctor (who I'd only seen twice before) and discovered he had changed my script without informing me through consultation. Also I was denied services that I was eligible for. In the end the Doctor said to me "if your not happy just leave and find somewhere else" so I did.

Brace yourself - this is a LONG one smh I called in yesterday Morning, to ask if I am able to get a repeat for mother’s prescriptions. The receptionist advised me that she will ask the nurse/doc, to see whether Mum needed to come in or not. She said someone will contact me back. No one called back. So I called again this morning (my husband works across the road from doctors) after I dropped hubby off, and spoke to the same girl. I expressed my disappointment that no one had contacted me back. I was frustrated as this is NOT the first time I’ve had to deal with this with them. I Should have taken the clear signs when I first signed my Mum to Cavendish Dr, they had given me the wrong form to fill out. So when we came for her appointment about 6 weeks later (transferred from wellington) - I was advised that she was NOT a patient there and they had no record of her. Only to find out that they have me the wrong form to fill out. So had to wait another 6 weeks for the docs to receive her medical file!! And that was our first bad experience. Anyway the girl then apologised for no one contacting me back and advised me that they were very busy. So I apologised to her and said I realise it’s probably not her fault - that they were busy. But she was gracious and very understanding. She said that the prescription was actually ready to be picked up. So I thanked her and headed across the road. I walked in to pick up the prescription, and another receptionist has a go at me and says β€œyou need to tell us 24 hours in advanced that your mum needs a prescription, because we were very busy yesterday and you need to be more patient with us, because when you abuse our staff on the phone it’s not on...bla bla bla” - 1. I hope your calls are recorded coz I would like for you to listen and tell me WHERE I abused the staff member ? 2. I NEVER DEMANDED for the prescription to be ready, I simply just wanted a CALLBACK to follow up. Whether we need to mAke an appointment to come in OR not! 3. I called YESTERDAY morning (before lunch) - and I called again this morning before 9am to follow up, and was told the prescription was ready anyway - and not because I demanded it. So she tells me I need to be more patient ??‍♀️ Well lady I think I’ve used about all my patience I have with my past previous interactions with Cavendish doctors. Ive had better treatment and service from Emergency! I forgot to remind her that the last time I gave 5 Days notice for prescription renewal, that they STILL didn’t have ready ON the day, and this is after calling almost 6 times with 3 emails prior to the date my mum pills finishing, and NO call backs as promised. Then 2 days prior they said they would fax prescription to chemist, and I get to the chemist and no surprises - nothing. More phone calls back to Cavendish reception, and promises to contact me back never happened, and made me and mum wait for over 2 hours at the chemist. So I called them back - AGAIN ? only to be told, their doctors don’t arrive until after 1pm!! If you have elderly parents, or have serious illnesses that require important medicine to be taken everyday - CAVENDISH IS NOT THE PLACE. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after everything, But after this morning - all she could say was β€œwell if your not happy with our services go find somewhere else” - bad attitude! which I responded Typical response, for a typical bad service. Steer FAR away from this place. Looks nice but not worth the trouble. ???? Wish I could give them a ZERO. The worst receptionists Ive ever had to deal with.

I thought my previous doctors were bad, but they are just as same. They would never call and tell me about my blood result. When i call them, they say that one of the nurses will call shortly, and till today i have not received any calls, this happened multiple of times. Even my husband had a bad experience as he wanted to get mri scan done but every time we go there they same question they ask "is it still paining" and their process is slow. Also, I showed up at between 5.30 to 6pm as 6pm is their closing time, from my experience the nurse was rude and said "you need to hurry up because we want to go home too" while sitting in her office and getting checked by her. What does that mean anyway! That's your duty. Do your job properly! Thinking of changing my doctors again. No good service

Poor service! Been calling for almost 20 times now to book my sons appointment yet nobody answered.. Mind you it’s not a 800 number which makes it even worse ?‍♀️ Changing our doc soon very disappointed!

Receptionist is rude and hygiene needed. Doctor's do not listen to any of symptoms and requirements. Using Google to look up prescription medications. No response of tests done. Breaches of the privacy act 1993. When attending waiting area never has more than 1 to 2 patients. Was told consultation could be done outside at the back due to asking if my details could be documented separately to signing Trace contact sheet as it is due to a safety concern which causes myself anxiety.

Firstly the receptionist are very rude and at times unprofessional. They double book the patients and not having enough doctors. It happens alot at this clinic. I have been registered since this clinic has opened and seriously thinking of changing my doctors to another clinic, where i feel comfortable and well looked after.

I have found the staff extremely friendly and efficient Corine has worked at the centre since it opened and has always gone the extra mile. Doctor Nigel Tey is very professional in his consultations along with the other Doctors . Well done team

So I'm currently waiting for at appointment that I booked the day before for 9.45am as I have work commitments and though it was be a quick consultation to get a prescription for an ear Infection that's been giving me hearing problems and at times a sharp pain around my ear. It's been nearly at hour since I've been waiting, I called the reception earlier l once 15mins past my expected appointment time was supposed to be and they said it would be late by 10mins. That was 30mins ago 40mins ago now.. I'm not sure if they are over booking people on certain days and it's too many for them to deal with or their processes need to be looked at but I can definitely say that I'm looking for another family doctors.
