Amazing...
Really worth to wake up early morning to do the walk for the sunrise..
Only need 30min walk to reach the summit and you will see the amazing sunrise..
Was a bit quite during early morning, that's best time for sunrise but more crowded after 6am.
The only hard part is to find the parking spot near the mountain..
But overall, was amazing experience.
Definitely recommended if you visit mount maunganui..

β β β β β Unbelievably stunning! If you ever come to Tauranga, you must walk up here. It does not take long, some part can be a bit steep depending the way you go, but the view on top is breathtaking!

β β β β β Fabulous area, a must visit if visiting New Zealand. A bit hard walk to the top, but absolutely rewarding with the breathtaking view from the top.

β β β β β The walk around the mountains was met with stunning views off the see and the wind can get sometimes the better of you at the backside of the mountain . The walk is really nice and not to tiresome . Do wear the right shoes . Sandals will be uncomfortable.

β β β β β The most visited place in Tauranga, you should go early in the morning to find a parking as it can get very busy throughout the day, cafes and restaurants get really busy from morning.
The walk around the base track is scenic and great for kids, and it's stroller friendly, go prepared as it can take up to 2 hours for some to do the full track.

β β β β β When you live in a beautiful country, you got to make most of it. No visit to Mt Maunganui is complete without climbing the summit of the Mount. The access is from the beachside and there are two options to climb to the top. Ones a short one but is steep and has loads of steps. The other is a longer one but few steps and mostly a gravel track. Recommend the steps for the fit as the views are amazing.

β β β β β Amazing views of ocean and surrounds was clear day when visited.
Requires effort to complete so some degree of fitness although you could rest if needed. Decent shoes for walking. Don't forget some water, there is no toilet only at bottom across roads from shops same side as sea/mount.
Parking can be a bit scarce as quiet popular.
