★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful food lovely service a few favourite dishes we enjoy ie. Island chicken, salmon & filo, ceasar salad was a favourite restaurant to go to when at the fisherman's wharf now relocated to the RSA still a go to place to dine with family and friends. Highly recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, where do I begin. The warm welcomes our group of 10 received from the staff at Whakatane RSA was second to none. Absolute top notch and the food was: quote “10 /10 (ribs and island chicken) from several members of my party. Shrimp cocktail with home made sauce was 100 times better than the shrimp cocktail we had the previous evening at another (not so) fine establishment. The seafood chowder at Cookies promised creamy and me oh my yes boy, was that a creamy chowda! ?? The whole table dug into the comforting seafood delight with chip or garlic bread in hand and every single person rated it 10/10. I’ll tell ya something for nothing, Cookie and her crew could teach the previously mentioned establishment a lesson or two about seafood chowder (other place was continental cuppa soup mushroom soup with bits of fake crab ?, I gagged thinking about it) last night we left the establishment full...of disappointment. Tonight, oh my lanta...?????? Well done Cookie and her crew. Best place to eat in all of Whakatane! If I could give them 100 stars I would!
