★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay with awesome breakfast. The rooms are pretty good too and spacious with good storage. Located in a great space with water views, close to the Wellington Zoo and Te Papa museum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ EVERYTHING and EVERYONE couldn't be more accommodating. Great hotel ,great place to stay.Super professional staff,ESPECIALLY Kenny at reception. I've always chosen the Copthorne because they've never let me down.All the staff seem to go that extra mile for their guests and are ALWAYS genuinely friendly and interested.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely staff were fantastic. Beds and pillows were super comfortable and room was nice and clean. Nice and close to Te Papa and an easy walk into town for shopping. Not for to the zoo either. Lovely views of Oriental Bay

Paid for double bedroom 2 nights over $400 just to be put in the vista rooms in the back of the building, had to go up a second busted elevator and the rooms overlooked people's houses? Really poor bedding, no fitted sheet on the bed - and even worse, we didn't even get a proper duvet???? it was literally a sheet and then a duvet inner and another sheet on top???? who does that? No water in the fridge. Above all feels like a super busted hotel that hasn't done any maintenance in years. The hallways to our room were dusty and the walls had scratches all over them and really worn out carpet. Average service from the reception staff, pretty sure we were put in the worse rooms because we're a young couple and they figured we wouldn't question it. One of the nights the second elevator didn't work and they didn't mention it anywhere, had to walk up the stairs with heavy bags. Just can't believe we paid over $200 a night for some busted rooms. Don't spend your money here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first visit was in 1994 when the hotel was under the Quality Inn banner. No doubt the hotel holds some great memories for me.
Spent 3 night of the final leg of my holiday with relatives at the hotel. Was Very enjoyable & great to be finally back in Wellington after COVID!
Staff were excellent, in particular Joy & Kenny!
Breakfast was great, with a good selection to offer (considering what we have just been through the past 2 years).
Only suggestions I have is the hotel is starting to look a little tired (of need a refurb) & overall cleaning of the venue & rooms (in particular the glass) could be improved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 star views, but only if you get a sea view room. Hotel quite dated urgently requiring refurbishing. No extras in the rooms. Would boost their star rating with new bedroom furnishing nothing at all special just the view. Interesting it's cheaper to book on line than go directly through reception

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really great hotel that I would recommend. Rooms are a little small and there was no room makeup or cleaning but otherwise a very pleasant stay. Advertised with a breakfast buffet but not available due to Covid. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Well worth the money...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I had a fantastic stay here and can not wait to return. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything that we needed and the view over looking the bay was beautiful. Location for us was fantastic.
The staff were wonderful, accommodating an early check in request after my partner busted his knee and ended up on crutches, they went out of their way to change his room to one closest to the lift to ensure he didn’t have to walk any further than needed.
We also ordered room service for dinner which was super fast to arrive and I can highly recommend the fried chicken. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Wellington! Thank you again to the fabulous staff you truely made our staff an enjoyable one!
