★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a way to celebrate my 70th birthday back on board the Earl Grey II Fishing Charters with Steve. Be warned you must book early as we had to take a different charter on my birthday last year much to my disappointment. However we won't let that happen again. We will be back again in April for our usual wedding anniversary day out on the Earl Grey with Steve. We value his professionalism, his safety consciousness, and his wonderful fishing and boating skills.. Friendly, funny and so helpful. In the words of Tina Turner " Your simply the best , better than all the Rest".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great family trip with Steve on the Earl Grey II. Steve is so knowledgeable and very generous with sharing what he knows. He helped our tamariki with their first catches. Actually, he helped me with my first catch! Definitely something fun to do in the Bay of Islands.

Solid, comfortable boat, heap of space on deck, quality fishing gear all supplied. What a great day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far the best fishing charter we have had and Steve's experience and knowledge made it a more enjoyable trip. I never thought anyone could catch so many Kingfish in such a short space of time, even with the foul weather conditions, amazing!!
We look forward to seeing you again soon and we will certainly recommend you to as many people as we can.

Wendy was extremely helpful making the booking process very straightforward and keeping us well informed regarding weather and best dates to get out.
Steve was super professional and extremely knowledgeable. He definitely put the pressure on us to catch the live bait and to get the kingfish in before the Sharks took their due.
Highly recommend giving this a go, these guys are the BEST and offer great value for money!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This trip was my second time going out with Steve and once again we were not disappointed by the experience. My son and I caught plenty of kingfish, the freezer is well stocked. Steve and the Earl Grey provide an excellent service and I would not hesitate recommending them for your day out on the water. Top class service from a very experienced fisherman.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Epic day in epic company. Steve and Wendy certainly know how to make you feel welcome aboard the Early Grey II. From Wendy helping you organise a trip to Steve taking you out into the deep blue, Earl Grey Charters are true professionals while being warm and friendly. It was the second time I went out with Steve and I had an equally awesome day getting amongst snapper and kingfish. With a wealth of knowledge, Steve will get you amongst the fish and not just move from a spot if it's slow going when he knows the fish will be on the bite soon. The boat itself is spacious and can accomodate anglers throughout the day and it even has a bathroom. I will be heading out with them again in the near future and would 100% recommend them to anyone who fancies catching fish while they are in The Bay Of Islands.
