Our guide, Derek was extremely well-versed with the areas visited, and provided us with insightful nuggets of information that made every site that we visited even more meaningful. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband, grandson & myself booked the Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach tour. Ken Mullarkey picked us up punctually from our accommodation at 7.30am as arranged. Turns out we were the only 3 travellers so we had a very personalised tour. Ken was informative, friendly and a great conversationalist. We had a fantastic day, and en route back to Paihia we stopped for 30 mins at Mangonui. It was a full day tour : almost 10 hours. We can highly recommend Mullarkey Tours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We (myself and two 15 year olds) were picked up by Derek right on time at 7:30 for our tour of the Far North (90 Mile Beach, Cape Reinga, sand dunes, etc). Very lucky as we had a personalised tour and very grateful it went ahead despite nobody else booking. It was well put together tour with good spaces between stops and great sights as well as well chosen places to pick up food, eat. The picnic food we picked up on the way was great and the afternoon tea stop on the way home also spot on. Derek was an amazing tour guide with lots of interesting information and just the right amount of talking and time to just chill. Great he is a sailor like my son so they were able to chat about that.
Thank you so much for an amazing day and great value for money (especially since the kids still were a child rate whereas most other things we have been doing here they count as adults!).
