★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful open expanse is the best soothing treatment for your eyes on this road, surrounded by more mountains than you could count. And because of its sheer size this place still amazes everyone just as much as the fiords themselves!! A must do stop along the Milford Road, this is a place to visit come rain or shine!!

Impressive view of the flats and valley but be warned of the sandflies which are in abundance here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful spot on the way from Te Anau to Milford Sound. One of the many photo stop opportunities along the way. Get out of the car and just take in the surrounding scenery. The views are out of this world and nothing beats seeing it with your own eyes. Just be careful of young kids, as this is just a stop by the side of the highway
