★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basic but clean and comfortable rooms. However, the nicest of settings and an excellent buffet in preparation for the walk (first day's mainly flat and by far the easiest!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First stop at Milford guided walk, basic but nice. Beautiful area and beds are ok when you are tired (even the walk from the boat to the house was just a half mile). Food is good but drinks by far too expensive as on all huts on the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you doing the Milford Hike tour, this is the first lodge that you will be staying in. Just a short walk from the ferry dropping point, the food was great and the beds comfortable. There is a great riverside in front of the lodge and it is surrounded by great nature. The stay was quite comfortable. A nice place to start your adventure!
