★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So disorganised and rude. Only go there if you want to pay to be treated like you are wasting their time. Today the nurse stuffed up a simple request which ended up with me in extreme pain from ongoing condition and having to go to an emergency clinic. and then she tries to blame me for it. I will never be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I dont often leave feedback but i feel a warning is needed for people who attend this clinic. Chris Beer wrongly diagnosed me over the term of about 12 months after repeated complaints of headaches and pain in face he said I had sinus infections and to take antibiotics. Turns out I had a tennis ball sized brain tumor after I told my symptoms to another doctor and needed urgent surgery. I advise getting a second opinion for everything he diagnoses you with as he was always quick to make his poor judgements.
Also most times this pla e th s 30-45 minutes behind schedule. Not professional at all and quick to dish out any old medication.

Dr Craig told me 'its a short appointment' 5 times without even letting me finish about an array of problems i was given a printed prescription of medicine that i already had.
i was "processed" in 5 mins
they are not keen to give you the time that you choose to pay for they kept telling me time is 15 minutes .
lord help you if u were in my shoes.

GPs: Dr. Stewart, Eade, Sue, also very kind.
Fees: Normal for the Central Auckland Area, but I find them quite expensive. $54.50 enrolled, $19.50 enrolled w/CSC.
Been coming to Four Kauri for over 10 years. Receptionists are usually very good, however there was a woman there who was lacking in her communication skills, which I found very off putting. When asking her questions, her responses were "mmm", "mhm", very flat demeanor. I wasn't sure if she was annoyed with me for whatever reason, but I've never had an issue with anyone else. I'm not sure how else to describe her, but just for your reference, she was a larger lady.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ longest appointment I had was 10 mins, always rushed out.. Never felt taken care of,. changed to health New Lynn and my first appointment the Dr spent 40mins with me and he was like Sherlock holmes, never felt so taken care of and I spent more with this doctor in one session than 4 - 5 years at 4 Kauri.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having read some of the negative reviews on here I feel the need to respond with my own personal experiences.
It seems to me that a great deal of the negative comments come from people who appear to have little or no tolerance for appointments running late, have you ever known any GP, Specialist or Hospital appointments to ever run bang on time? May I suggest that this sort of intolerance could be a reflection of your own personality! Four Kauri still have excellent Dr’s with a team of staff and nurses doing their best to make it work.
I personally have never experienced any of the problems mentioned in the comments here. My Dr at Four Kauri has always referred me to a specialist when the need has arisen and definitely spends more than enough time with me listening to my plethora of medical issues (real or imagined)
Dr’s are human too and make mistakes, so in future please give them the break they deserve none of us are perfect. *****

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bit of a wait for a reason but never more than fifteen min, and worth it, Dr Bowden is exceptionally good! Kind and interested, takes his time with patients. Nurses are very hard working. Highly recommend this GP clinic. It's common practice at all GP clinics to book a double appointment if you have multiple issues, so I think that's why some people in the reviews feel rushed. Never had an issue with faxed scripts or getting hold of the nurses. Try emailing it works a treat ?
