★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was catfished by the pictures. My room did not look like the pictures online. My bathroom smelt like sewage. The outside of the rooms look really run down. There was a layer of dust on the window sills, toilet roll holder and all low touch areas. Phone signal is really poor and wasn’t told about wifi-only noticed on departure the password is on the key. Reception is unmanned so have to call the guy to come to reception. No additional bathroom amenities you only get soap.
On a plus side the beds are really comfy and the tv is a smart tv with Netflix, YouTube and casting abilities

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed for 3 nights for a real geat price! Hot tub was real nice, also so was the pool. Beds were real comfy. Room was clean and tidy aswell. Had air con and thats always a plus! Only downfall was the bins werent emptied and it overflowed outside our room from other tenants and it smelled. But other then that we had a great stay ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very average that’s for sure. If I arrived early enough I would have went some where else for the night. Has a strong musty smell and just not very clean. The exterior is prety much a eye sore being run down and not maintained. Didn’t appear to be half the amenities they claim to have. Not that I could see any way. Walls are quite thin. So if you like hearing the next rooms tv or passionate love making like your in the same room this might be the place for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very average. Not bad but far from good. Good points are the friendliness of the staffs, comfortable beds and the location.
Bad points are old building, cold room, noise restriction but nothing about people smoking around (pretty bad for a “resort” with kids).
Need serious renovation and it could be an amazing place!

- Spacious chalet, perfect for small family
- Lovely surrounding environment with trees and creek running past rooms
- Close to Taupo city centre but far enough away that it is peaceful and quiet
- Affordable
- Good wifi
Cons:
- Not very clean, our spa bath and shower both had hair left in it. Windows also have not been cleaned in a while
- Didn't receive new guest toiletries, ours were half empty from the previous guests and staff do not come in daily to restock/clean
- No extra blankets or pillows
- Accommodation is looking quite run down and there are dodgy looking patches covering holes in walls
- Front reception is usually closed, we stayed for 3 nights and each time I tried to ask for new toiletries they were shut. There is a number listed to call if unattended but as I was travelling from overseas I only had wifi available.
- Parking is a bit limited next to chalets and you have to be careful not to blocked in by others.

Very good bed and rooms had all we needed. Reception were friendly and checked in after the first night to ensure all was well

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beds were clean and comfortable in the Family Studio units.
I don't know what the rest of the units and accommodation/ rooms are like but I had to ask for surfaces to be wiped down and for some cutlery to be delivered, as there was only enough for one person. Cups and glasses were missing, and the ones that were there weren't clean.
Check in is 3pm, this wasn't communicated prior to arrival. The place has the potential to be really good! I am guessing it was a resort prior to now, as nothing is operating now.
I think the photos need to be updated on their website.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had high expectations after viewing the website and was extremely disappointed wen we arrived. Firstly the reception building is run down the floors looked as though they hadn't been vacuumed for a long time we wanted to use the bathroom and it was disgusting covered in stains. On the upside beds a very comfy and rooms are good size for my family of 4 good price. Rooms are on the older side but have everything u need towels milk coffee. The pool is older and very small it was only waist high on my son who is 12. If u just need somewhere to just sleep this is the place I don't think it should be called a resort its far from it
