Totally enjoyed my stay here for 4 nights the staff and management are fabulous they go out of their way for you . Very clean and prices are not to bad either next to others in the area. Not that far from Taupo town centre by car but out of the way to make this camp very quite , relaxing and enjoyable park like setting . I'd be very happy to stay here again. ?

Had a 3 night stay. Well maintained and organised owner operated camp. Spotless facilities. Biked into city from the camp. Ate at the nearby Vietnamese eatery. Clotheslines catch the wind and washing dried in no time. Spacious sites.

Extremely rude lady at reception for no particular reason. In addition she made some hand gestures like she wanted us to leave the site. I won’t recommend the site to anyone. Being a customer, I haven’t been treated so badly in my life.

In summary, if you have dogs and want to stay in taupo, you may not have another option. If you don't have dogs, I'd stay elsewhere. Pros: -Kitchen and bathrooms are really clean and tidy. - They allow dogs year-round. Cons: - I don't think this camp is safe for kids. It's close to an 80km/h road, with a large entrance and no gates. Some sites are just a couple of meters from the entrance so it'd be easy for kids to wonder out. - It is is really noisy, because of the nearby road. During holidays it was noisy up to quite late in the night (from cars passing by). - Location is not really good as well. There isn't anything you can do in a walking distance. -There was minimum effort preparing the sites. Good luck trying to get your caravans leveled. - The grass is extremely patchy, so you'll be stepping on dirt and mud (if it rains) and making a mess inside your RV. - Staff (or perhaps the owners) were really unfriendly. The first time we've been there (in 2021), the lady at the reception was really rude, but I decided to ignore it as I thought she was just having a bad day. I came back a year later and was treated worse by a different lady, so it seems to be how they are.

Great holiday park with reasonable prices. Shower, toilet and kitchen facilities were clean and well appointed. Though I would recommend to the owners that the showers are hosed maybe a couple of times during the day during the busy season (we stayed over new years).

Lovely clean and tidy facilities. Great to deal with when booking, emailing and upon arrival. Nice big sites, with lots of trees that gives a feeling of being amongst nature. Only negative for us was the road noise but being from a small seaside town we aren't use to this. Overall is an amazing place to stay!

Only stayed for one night en route.... Beautifully cared for camp ground with lots of time, effort and love going into the garden!. Well done. Those little touches make all the difference ?. Was warmly welcomed on arrival. When travelling alone, its really nice to feel that welcome from staff, or in this case, the lovely owners. To me, what puts a campground above others is if there is hedging/shrubs planted between campsites, or at least blocks of campsites, and I loved that about this place. Beautiful established trees, fantails chatting away.... So glad I found it, as the other campground I had checked out looked unappealing in comparison. A wee bit of traffic noise but nothing this fussy individual couldn't tolerate, and I did ask to have a site with few other people close by, as needed sleep, and that is exactly what I got. Great place to stay for a bit of peace and quiet. Price was also really really reasonable. Highly recommend staying here. ?
