★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute little sculptures my kids loved these! I think it would be nice to put a warning sign up for kids and parent that when they are hot they can burn as I didn't realize my child had run to sit on a hot metal dog until it was too late

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your children grew up with Hairy McLaren books it is worth a quick visit all the statues are cast in bronze & children can hop on some of them. Located nearby is a great fish and chip shop on the harbour ( not open Mondays & Tuesdays).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Right in the heart of the CBD, a lovely spot for families at the water’s edge. The sculptures depicting characters from the iconic Hairy McLary books are worth a visit on their own, while the play areas will keep the kids amused foreva…..especially in Summer. Best of all it costs nothing. That is unless you buy lunch and why not with Bobby’s just at the end of the promenade. Best fish n chips in town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really appreciate the waterfront, family friendly, steps down to the estuary to dip your feet. Hairy Maclary dog, water feature, and playground. Nice to go there after dinner at the nearby restaurants.
