Only concern was having two kids upstairs on the waterfront lodge the railing wasn’t the best for children and could easily slip through if unattended.
Can’t beat location into town. Will definitely stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in one of the two downstairs apartments directly on the foreshore. We loved it, fantastic amenities and a short walk to everything. We certainly lucked in with the weather which helped and the management were very approachable and keep the place immaculate. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hananui Apartments on York Street in Russell. Being one block back from the shorefront mean it was very peaceful and private. We vote the shower 10/10!! It was great having secure, undercover parking also. We would definitely stay there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to stay in Russel. Two bed apartment facing the sea was clean, spacious and well equipped. The location is central yet peaceful and the deck is the perfect spot with a glass of wine to watch the sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love staying at Hananui - it's the best location for accessing the main Russell village and wharf, everything is a short walk away. The rooms are always clean and tidy and no issues with noise. The hosts Shane and Kirstine are friendly and welcoming. The rooms have everything expected/needed and are great - fridge/freezer, cook top, pots and pans and cutlery/tongs/spatula etc, kettle and toaster, ironing board/iron.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kristine and Shane were the most accommodating hosts we've ever had. They were incredibly helpful with advice for things to do in the area and went out of there way to make this an enjoyable stay. The apartments were perfectly located, modern, great value for money and incredibly clean. I couldn't fault our stay and I would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Russell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great choice for a weekend stay in Russell. It was in the middle of everything but not noisy and the deck outside our room had a lovely view of the harbour. The beds were very comfortable and we liked the policies surrounding Covid with no one coming into the room during our stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in apartment 5, which was right on the waterfront. It was a lovely apartment with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was spotless. The location was exceptional, with the wharf, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The owners were friendly and helpful. The whole property is very well maintained. Will definitely stay here again.
