Plenty of grass and trees next to river.
Clean toilets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing freedom camping spot just outside of Hanmer Springs with a lovely view of the mountains. It has clean flushing toilets with sinks and lights.
There is space for 10 self contained vans (you must park along the fence line) although it looks like it could fit more. There were 2 vans there when we arrived and then a couple more arrived during the night.
You must arrive after 8pm and leave by 8am but I don't know how heavily that is enforced especially during non busy periods.

((Note do NOT park after the NO CAMPING sign,, you WILL be asked to leave by the ranger or fined $200))
There is 10 marked spaces giving each camper there only space which is well spaced.
Always gotta be 1 family that thinks they are MORE ENTITLED tho... And takes up more space and inhand takes a space off another family... (( CDSTRM ))
