Had a bad experience dealing with solicitor Turama Meha. She was rude, very poor in communication and slow to respond. Do not recommend going here if you are a first home buyer.

Nathan is an excellent communicator and helps get things done. We've sold two properties using HTC both times and purchased one also. Even through COVID19 and zoom meetings signing paperwork Nathan was calm and provided all the required information when needed.

I initially gave the Home Transfer Centre 3 stars, but I had to amend it to 1 star. We used the home transfer centre to assist with the sale of our existing home and the purchase of a new home. The process of selling and buying is stressful enough, but we found the Home Transfer Centre did not always help reduce that stress. Communication was rarely responded to in a timely manner, and in many cases not at all. On occasion it took days to get a reply to an email, many times they would not respond at all. In hindsight I sensed there was going to be problems. They rejected my verified documents because I had used the β€œwrong” trusted referee and had to educate them by providing a list of trusted referees from the law society. When they did communicate it was pretty clear and they helped guide us through the process. They took instruction and helped us avoid buying a potential lemon of a property. On the day we were supposed to settle, literally as the movers were packing our belongings, I’m called and told we need to provide some documentation with our address on it. Why was this not asked for weeks earlier? Later that same day, we’re sitting outside our new home waiting for the lawyer to finalise the sale and purchase of our home. All the while I’m paying the movers $140 an hour to sleep in their truck. This was the most stressful time as updates from the lawyers were not regularly forthcoming. We finally got the sale finalised at about 330 pm, but by then the realtors office was closed and we had to ring them, and of course no one answered our calls. Fortunately someone did call us back and we managed to get the keys and we’re able to move in. Weeks later, I find out that the Home Transfer Centre failed to file the notice of sale with the local council. I sent them an email, but like most times before, I received no reply. A few days later I called and was advised they had received my email and taken care of it. Could someone have not thought to let me know? It was certainly frustrating and stressful going through a sale and purchase anyway, it shouldn’t be more so because your lawyers don’t respond to queries or are ignorant of some pretty basic legal information. I will not use them again.

By all means avoid working with them. They only care about charging fees and then move on. They do not explain anything about agreement or purchase and selling conditions even on the phone they do not have any proper customer service skills. I have worked with them and it was absolute horror. Pay a few hundreds more & hire a good lawyer and don't think about saving money and working with them because it's very likely you will end up losing much more if you decide to work with them.

I used these guys years ago and had a great experience, unfortunately this time I was mucked around, emails not answered paperwork forgotten and a few days before settlement they didn't even know I had bought a new house. They filed the wrong information and constantly pushed me from person to person. Worst experience of my life. Save yourself the stress and use someone else who is competent to do their job even if it costs you a bit more. Turkey one of the scariest experiences ever considering they are the professionals. They also mucked up final rates calculations that also cost me more money Avoid like the plague...

They locked my money by excuse of checking my identification, but the Checking system has bug which doesn't allow to enter other countries's passport other than NZ and AU, When I asked them to provide other way to verify identification, they ghost me, I am urgently needing the my money to buy house, but their behavour like Fraud, keep my money and no any response. Don't use them.
