I went to Labtests in Devonport because it is local and I always try to support local businesses.
I was told to go to Milford; I wish I had.
I called to see if I required an appointment.
Today is January 20th and I had to listen to an incredible selection of recorded messages with a finish asking me if I wanted to hear Christmas hours.
The recorded messages and endless options were beyond what is reasonable.
From the recorded options; I opted to speak with someone.
No indication I would be sent through to a call centre..........I was put through to a call centre.
The call centre did not want to answer my questions they just wanted to tell me in a foreign accent that they were a call centre.
I went to the Labtests even though the website at 8:30 am said they were closed while written hours on the website said they were open.......confusion (?)..
I get to the clinic, I am barked at to take a card and wait to be called.
I get called and go with someone (not identified as a nurse or a professional) to have my blood drawn; no pleasentries from this young lady only; "clench, release, clench"............."is this your name and birthdate " (3xs)..............does she even speak English?
I was never told what she was doing.
I don't actually know what the procedure is from here...................
I am totally bewildered by the experience and here I sit 3 hours later still gobsmacked by what I went through this morning.
I am so over medical care that does not really care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Melanie at Devonport Lab Tests is amazing. No pain! Miraculous. I have needle phobia, veins hard to find and I have been butchered by lab techs at other places. Melanie is beyond compare! Can’t thank her enough for a gentle, pain free experience.
