M	Mark Swords on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found 5 caves. 3 small ones, 1 long one that you can walk through and 1 shorter one that you have to crawl at the start then climb up at the other end to get out.
J	Julia Flachs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ small little lava caves. best thing you can crawl in there and enjoy the cool shaddow. don't forget your torch. the stones swallow any sound so it's very quite in there :)
G	Geoff Wilson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly one of the simplest yet coolest experiences of my life; now, I haven't been to the Waitomo caves down south yet, but crouching into and climbing up out of these short pitch black lava caves was so unique. Some literally you need to be a bit fit to get in; our 10 yr old niece could but my fiance's mother wouldn't be able to. The other main one however our entire family did, including mum, bc it's just walking through with plenty of headroom. Just make sure you don't lose track of time so that you can get off the island before the last ferry leaves!
J	J F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a really neat hike! Note that it is hot on the island and there isn't water to buy on the island. I wouldn't recommend taking young children for that reason
K	Keks Dose on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So there is only one cave and it is difficult to walk through it. It is not a well prepared stalactite cave with stairs, handrails etc, better wear some good shoes (not sandals, not chucks etc). You have to walk up and down on stones into the dark (bring a light, cellphone flashlight works quite good). It can be narrow down there too, but in my eyes its worth it to go there!
N	N V on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool experience. Make sure to bring a torch and to watch your head towards the end of the cave. Be careful as the paths and walls of the cave are quite sharp. Sturdy shoes is a must!

V	Victor G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty rad island with lots of history and cool hike! Looks like it had a area to BBQ, if you so choose! The only thing I would add is better signs, like with "where you are?" maps, at the peak to be able know how the other trails connect.
