Ordered a happy meal, fries was cold and else were ok. Wait time was about 5 mins. Below the average of McDonald's standards.

11.37am ordering mince and cheese pie, grand-daughter enjoys maccas so we go there this is not the first time this has happened and it probably will not be the last time until someone makes changes to how the ordering system works and is communicated to the team and how it is managed. Yes it's school holidays so it's a time of sharing and enjoying your family even when you take them out for lunch. I would of pass this by but as coming up to see why it was taking so long for my granddaughter to get her pie I notice a mother with her child asking what she was waiting on and she said her order and number to come up. As the lady asked what her o/# was she said 146, you would like to feel that a 10 year old child is more than ok to get her order however that was not the case as the lady began speaking to me and said she has been waiting awhile and we both noticed her o/# was not on the screen. After a few minutes the young man said here her order?, I ask what # and he said 146 I asked why did it take so long his response "I'm not sure" I ask to speak to the manager while waiting the young mother said it always happens to young children especially if they are alone. (This is not right) The manager Rose came up and I explain and said my granddaughter had been waiting a while (10 -12minutes) and when we get the order of x1 minced cheese pie and no apology for the delay? (Come on where's the courtesy?). The manager apologised, was polite and did show concern. The fault was no one taking charge of the orders well you had a staff girl doing the orders and handing them out as they came up but no concern for customers waiting. (head down while handing out) We were the 4th In queue then there were another 6 orders waiting which we were still in queue from 11.47am - 12.07am is when my granddaughter got her order. Staff on x2 on counter x1 on orders x2 at back that I could see and the manager. There needs to be a better way of getting orders out efficiently and not having to wait that long when you think that it's after 11am it's school holidays you would expect more assertiveness from everyone and maybe some added charm to motivate the team to get orders out through planning and preparations for the day. The boys serving are young and earning extra money but a little glean of enjoying your job as a pinch of salt goes a long way. The problem is getting the ordering system to work for you and the customers waiting or is this now the theme of maccas? (Orders made for you take a number and wait in the queue) and what about children on there own do you bypass because there's no adult supervision or just let them wait until you reduce the orders on the screen. The ordering system is not accommodating customers it's accommodating manpower and a excuse to make waiting acceptable in the fast food industries not just maccas. It would be great to create a win win for customers and the people working on the other side as they only work by the tools and training given. St Lukes has a variety of food selects go to KFC and the line orders are crazy the days of enjoying lunch is a chore with other food outlets following suit. Maybe it's time to do picnic lunches and bbqs or event days with friends and families where the enjoyment and fun is timeless, Everyone has a choice and opinion to enjoy there whole day not partial don't you think?. Overall visit not the best. Can you see item 146? Why is it not on the order screen? (Maybe a clinch as it's only 1 item).

McDonald’s is McDonald’s you know...can’t really complain at all. My order was right and came out pretty quick. I felt good eating it but never do after. I’m not saying it was bad. I’m saying I’m bad. All in all a good mall feed.

Employee Joshua had the dustiest trim ive ever seen but he gave quick and polite service. A handsome young man and if he just got a cut I couldn't ask for much more from his service. Fair play lad
