β β β β β Good things; place was clean, nice linen, bed comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.
Not so good things; this place is tied and not upto a 3 star standard in my book. Paint peeling, old fashioned extraction system in bathroom that when windy it howls through and rattles the door. The windows don't seal properly so they whistle with the wind. And Wellington is never not windy. Thank goodness we didn't have anyone else on the same floor because you would hear everything.
This is the saddest hotel I have stayed in the the Accor group not worth the rate they charge.

β β β β β The location is great and staff were friendly but unfortunately thatβs where the positives end. The kitchenette can only be described as a converted cupboard and quite frankly it looked like a fire hazard. It wasnβt particularly clean or well cared for. It didnβt matter if you wanted to βgo ecoβ and forego servicing your room because it didnβt happen regardless. The seals on windows were poor so there was always wind whistling through. The toilet cistern dripped constantly and I could hear everything going on outside the room and what sounded like the lifts going up and down. The king size bed was basically 2 single mattresses pushed together resulting in a valley to roll into and give yourself a back problem whether you had one to start with or not. Peeling paint and not well maintained

β β β β β The room style is okay. The location is great. However, it's not actually clean. There's hand marks on cabinet walls, they didn't clean the high touch areas. Which hygienically very important.

β β β β β Rooms donβt match photos. For the price, I was very disappointed with the two-bedroom apartment that looked straight at a wall. A lot has been said about the tired and grubby rooms. But to see our cups being washed in the bathroom sink takes it to another level. Despite kitchen facilities being advertised there was no kitchen area or sink. Housekeeping blithely washed up in our bathroom basin, right next to the toilet!!! leaving us reluctant to use the cups or the basin afterwards! Management not interested in addressing any issues. Should have read previous reviews but I didnβt, so lesson learned. Extremely poor value.

β β β β β Upon arrival, i was advised that onsite parking was fully booked (despite me requesting this prior to my visit).
My welcome pack was not ready and was being prepared upon my arrival. The receptionist then proceeded to provide me with a room key to a room that was ALREADY OCCUPIED. I walked in on a woman who was getting dressed and this was not a pleasant experience for either of us.
Upon entering a vacant room (that was not upgraded as part of my membership), I then proceeded to sit on the bed. I can only state that the bed felt like a trampoline and it was unacceptable for a supposed Accor hotel.
The standard of room and service was not at a level i would expect. I do want to say that the receptionist was apologetic and handled the situation reasonably well. She should be commended.
Nevertheless, i cancelled my stay immediately and was provided a refund as requested. Upon checking my statement, they charged me $30 out of pocket for this experience, for which I am still awaiting a response from management.
Would avoid this hotel unless you like street noise, poor beds, and is a last option available in Wellington.

β β β β β Well the photos looked great. Location good and check in easy. However I would only recommend staying here if you needed to film a budget βadult filmβ. The bathroom floor needs levelling, paint is cracked and falling off in multiple places. Room wasnβt very clean considering covid and all thatβs unacceptable.

β β β β β my stay had it's ups and downs. The hotel is centrally located and warm. Unfortunately we were on the top floor and sprung a leak during the night, so perhaps check your room for signs of water egress. I'd also suggest that, if you're a lite sleeper, you ask for a room that does not adjoin the lift shaft as that does make a slight sound when used during the night. Reasonably priced, I booked through booking.com.

β β β β β Gave a 5 star, because my room was neat and tidy, no stains on the sheets or on the chairs etc. I wasnβt expecting it to be the Hilton but I loved it cause it had a bedroom seperate from the kitchenette and it was affordable for the 2 nights stay. Location was awesome. With a hotel in central area I already knew there would be noise. So I always carry ear plugs with me.
Wasnβt too fussed with the TV as I had work to do etc. the view was great, especially at night while I worked.
I would stay here again. Staff were awesome.
I do agree the hotel is a little run down. But I didnβt mind. I travelled a lot for work overseas before the pandemic hit and Iβve stayed in hotels a lot worse.
