★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had two watch faces replaced, at first thought... ouch that sounds a little expensive... no. Better than new. Came back gorgeously clean, new gaskets, pressure tested and new batteries. Cannot recommend highly enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have absolutely no idea of who are writing these reviews and where the head-space is at. My experience completely different. Firstly the person at desk quite rude and unhelpful. Had a GP watch which only needed the auto winder repaired (one screw). It took 3 seconds without looking at the watch to say $1000. I made the point that a full repair / overhaul wasn't necessary. Still $1000. I kept my cool but wanted to say more....... Only went to them because they were close by. So... went back to my usual man (who is now further out of town) and had the job done with an overhaul for $150. Added a nice leather band for extra $20. 'Nairns', (in my opinion) are overcharging to the max. Just because you live in Merivale or Fendalton don't get sucked in. Go to the "Time Doctor" and get honest service. I say the 'Time Doctor' because that is where I went and have receipt to prove it.
I have no affiliation with that service except for getting my 'nicer' timepieces mended there. Just a bit further to drive.... Used to be in the city prior to earthquake... you might remember him? Bit odd when you see ppl writing only one review on this platform isn't it? Just a thought.... But, hey, if you have $'s to throw away and uninformed. Nairns is the place for you :p
